DINNER: Farfalle pasta with minced meat and vegetables

Pasta and minced (ground) beef always go well together 👌. Nowadays I enjoy more of farfalle pasta, I have phases 😁. Sometimes I eat more of spaghetti, elbow or lasagne.

This is how I prepared my meal and enjoyed it with my BFF Bree ❤.

FARFALLE PASTA

Ingredients 

  • Farfalle pasta
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Cooking oil (preferably heart friendly)

Directions. 

Put some water in a pot, add salt and 2 tablespoon of oil and let it come to a boil.

Make sure water will be more than pasta . Add in your pasta and keep stirring once in a while .

Let it cook for about 10 minutes or al dente.

Drain, give it a quick rise with cold water .

Add one tablespoon of oil in a pot ,pour in the rinsed pasta, return to stove/gas let it heat up as you keep stirring .

MINCED/GROUND BEEF. 

Ingredients

  • Minced meat
  • Garlic- crushed
  • Red onion
  • Tomato paste
  • Garam masala
  • Turmeric
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Put the ground beef in a Pan, cook on medium low heat,  keep stirring as you break the lumps until it’s all brown .

Add crushed garlic ,and chopped red onion, season with salt and pepper give it a good mix . Cover and let that cook down for about 5 minutes .

Add tomato paste , garam masala, turmeric (other spices that you like ) add water just to cover the minced meat ,let it cook on low heat for about 20 minutes .

MIXED VEGETABLES 

Ingredients

  • Colored peppers( 1 red, 1 yellow) cut into Julienne strips
  • 1 large Carrots cut into Julienne strips
  • Broccoli
  • Red onion sliced into rings
  • 3 garlic cloves crushed
  • 2 tablespoon oil (preferably heart friendly)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Put all the vegetables and garlic on a pan .

Add 2 tablespoons of oil. Cook on medium low heat, add some salt and pepper to taste, mix well.

Keep turning until they are al dente and remove from heat.

Now that everything is ready, serve hot and enjoy!!!
